Z Tenney, MPA MEd (they/them) is the inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer for the College of Pharmacy at OSU. In this role, they work collaboratively to integrate DEI into the foundations of the institutional and interpersonal dynamics of the college. Previously, they traveled the nation to facilitate anti-racism educational sessions for the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity. Their work has focused on topics such as implicit bias, structural racism, and being an active bystander. Z is co-author of the Kirwan Institute’s 2017 State of the Science: Implicit Bias Review and co-creator of the Implicit Bias Module Series.

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:

Building from an existing module, an interprofessional team of faculty, staff and students created a longitudinal, five-part module entitled, “Anti-Racism in Action” involving over 1000 second year learners and 76 facilitators from six Ohio State health sciences colleges. Learning objectives spanned five IPE competencies (Evidence Based Practice, Collaborative Leadership, Interprofessional Communication, Roles and Responsibilities, and Teams and Teamwork).
