Site Visit: University of Minnesota Health Sciences Education Center Tour
The HSEC is a state-of-the-art facility designed to transform health education in Minnesota. This unique space includes innovative active learning classrooms; advanced hospital, emergency medicine, and outpatient simulation spaces; expert-staffed virtual reality and maker space studios; extensive historical and contemporary library collections; a large interprofessional student lounge and wellness area; and tech-capable private and group meeting and study spaces. Tour guests will participate in a 1-hour guided tour of the building and then engage in a question and answer session, with light snacks provided. Transportation will also be provided back and forth from the hotel to the HSEC.
Itinerary:
- 4:15pm - Transportation from Hyatt Regency
- 4:30pm - HSEC tours (Classrooms, Maker Space, M Simulation)
- 5:30pm - Discussion & snacks (HSEC room 3-110)
- 6:00pm - Transportation departs HSEC and returns guests to Hyatt Regency
