Tamara Falicov is Associate Dean, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; Professor, Film and Media Studies, and Affiliate, Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and co-facilitator Health Humanities and Arts Research Collaborative. She works to brings together scholars of multiple disciplines to find research paths of intersection. She is a co-PI on a local endangered indigenous (Me’phaa) language grant at KU-Lawrence, a consultant for Latinx patients and children on a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) grant through Children’s Mercy Hospital, and works with the KU Frontiers community engagement group, Multidisciplinary Advocates Research Group (MARG), based at KU Medical Center.
