Dr. Jacqueline Brown Smith is the Assistant Director of Assessment and Evaluation for Duke Interpressional Education Care Center and Duke Academy for Health Professions Education and Academic Development in Durham, North Carolina. She graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a Doctorate of Education, Pfeiffer University with a double Masters in Health Administration and Organizational Leadership, and an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has a background in health care quality improvement, programmatic evaluation and assessment as well as research.

This program provides both didactics on adult learning principles and practical instruction on curriculum development through a team-based project. The Covid pandemic has had a profound effect in many ways. For health professions educators, the stress of caring for their patients, each other, and often finally themselves and their families, has left little time to consider professional development.
