Standardizing Interdisciplinary Simulation: A Template

Monday, August 22, 2022, 10:00 am - 11:00 am CDT

The seminar will be a presentation on how to implement a simulation template. The summit theme of interprofessional learning for collaborative practice and education will be addressed by discussing the importance of standardization and replicability in interprofessional education through evidence-based simulation material. Active learning will be utilized by the participants going through an interdisciplinary simulation following the template to give them experience as learners.
After attending this session, the learner will be able to do the following: Define the importance of standardization and replicability in interdisciplinary education, learn how to incorporate the IPEC Core Competencies into their simulations with other specialized focus for participating programs , and coordinate and implement the same template with other learners. The participants will be able to use the template at their own institution, or learn how to create their own template following the same evidence-based standards.
