Dr. Whitney Schlegel is an Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Internships in the Biology Department and Director of Faculty Leadership and Engagement for the Center for Rural Engagement at Indiana University, Bloomington. Dr. Schlegel works with and connects faculty from diverse disciplines in inter/multi/transdisciplinary research and teaching, with a most recent focus on interprofessional and collaborative practice in partnership with rural Indiana communities. Dr. Schlegel is an integrative systems physiologist and teaches pre-professional students interested in pursing careers in health care utilizing team and case-based learning, collaborative inquiry and interprofessional practice.
