Uhlee (Yuri) Oh is Assistant Professor at the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene at MCPHS University and research dental hygienist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She serves as a member of the Boston Campus Interprofessional Education (IPE) Working Group and the dental hygiene (DH) program’s IPE Committee. She teaches DH Process of Care I and II, Pre-Clinic Lab, Clinic I, and Oral Health Research to first-year DH students. Her teaching and research areas of interests include psychomotor skill development, simulation, epidemiology, health disparities, and links between oral and systemic health.

Background: Literature has shown that interprofessional team-based care and standardized patients (SPs) significantly improve students’ retention of knowledge and perceptions compared to other forms of simulation.
