Dr. Paparella-Pitzel DPT, MS earned her post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rutgers/UMDNJ in 2005. She is an Associate Professor in the entry-level Rutgers DPT program. Areas of scholarship include: the use of standardized patients as a teaching tool in PT and medical programs, and cultural humility education; curriculum design; and integration of community service within the DPT curriculum. Dr. Paparella-Pitzel incorporates standardized patients and curriculum design into IPE initiatives and IPP clinics within Rutgers-RBHS. She is the Faculty Director of the student-led pro bono Rutgers School of Health Professions Community Participatory PT Clinic (CPPTC).

lnterprofessional education (lPE) allows future practitioners to effectively collaborate. lPE involves professions learning about, from, & with each other to deliver safe, patient-centered care.
