Dr. Stephanie L. Conder is an assistant professor of nursing and the assistant director of the MSN- Family Nurse Practitioner concentration at the Caylor School of Nursing. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is certified as a nurse educator. As a family nurse practitioner her experience includes working in a federally qualified community health center and walk in clinics. She has been an RN for 22 years and an FNP for 12 years, specializing in primary care of children and adults.

This lightening talk will address how program accreditation standards require that health professional programs must prepare students to provide medical care to patients with consideration for social determinants of health and to work collaboratively in interprofessional patient centered teams. An essential member of the patient centered team is the patient and with the onset of COVID-19, we have seen a decline in the ability of patients to access health care in traditional ways.
