Skye McKennon is an educator, pharmacist, and author at the Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine where she serves as Thread Director of Pharmacology and Interprofessional Education. She is a licensed pharmacist and board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist with over a decade of experience as a faculty member. Dr. McKennon has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals (including the American Journal of Pharmacy Education and Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning), co-authored six pharmacy textbooks, and authored multiple book chapters. She has presented her work at international and national symposiums such as the Seventh International Conference on Interprofessional Practice and Education, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy annual meeting, the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine annual meeting, and the Pharmacy Technicians Educators Council conference.

The COVID-19 pandemic dramatically changed the landscape for interprofessional education (IPE) opportunities for health professions students.
