Dr. Ruby Sharif-Sandel received her medical training from Garyounis Medical University and the American University of Beirut and completed an internship and residency in Anatomic Pathology. As a Canadian Bureau for International Education Clinical Scholar she earned her Master’s degree in Radiation Cancer Biology and Oncology from Colorado State University. She earned her PhD in Cell Biology from University of Oklahoma's HSC, she has published in various journals and is on multiple journal editorial boards. Dr. Sharif-Sandel serves as the IPE Project Coordinator, the OUHSC campus administrator of Faculty Success-Faculty Activity System, and leads the IPE Program Evaluation team.

Background: The Interdisciplinary Student Council (ISC) was formed in 2020 under the guidance of the Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Faculty Development and the Office of Interdisciplinary Programs at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC). It represents 19 professions in seven colleges across three campuses in the state of Oklahoma.
