Third year Clinical Nurse Specialist DNP student from the University of Minnesota. Currently working at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Have been working as a Registered Nurse since 2016. Two years of experience in the med-surg progressive care unit, and four years of experience in the med-surg-neuro ICU. She is working with the Minnesota Northstar Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program on transforming primary care for Age-Friendly care via implementing a 4Ms geriatriac smartset in EMR as her DNP project.

The population of people aged 65 years and older is expected to grow from 43.1 million in 2012 to an estimated 83.7 million by 2050 in the United States. Older people are more likely to develop health conditions that require complex care, age-specific screening, assessment, and management strategies. However, primary care clinics within the United States are not yet prepared to meet these age-specific health care needs.
