Paul F. Weber, MD, RPh, MBA, Associate Dean, Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Assistant Professor of Medicine directs the Health Systems Science (HSS) Curriculum Thread for the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) Office of Education. Concurrently, Dr. Weber co-directs the pre-clerkship Physicianship I & II courses and clerkship phase Patient-Centered Medicine (PCM) 3 course. These courses and the HSS Thread actively address interprofessional Education and Collaborate Care. As Associate Dean, CME, he leads these Joint Accreditation efforts at the Rutgers Center for Continuing and Outreach Education (CCOE) which encompasses RWJMS and Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Further, Dr. Weber is the Program Director of the RWJMS Distinction in Medical Innovation and Entrepreneurship (DiMIE). With his prior Biotech and Pharmaceutical Industry background, Dr. Weber actively counsels and coaches medical and pharmacy students, residents, and fellows with non-traditional career interests in business, innovation, and healthcare technology.

Interprofessional education (IPE) is an important component of healthcare education preparing students to provide well-rounded patient care as part of a collaborative team.
