Patty Coker-Bolt is a Professor in the Division of Occupational Therapy where she teaches pediatric coursework. She has over 24 years of OT experience, specializing in the treatment of high-risk infants and children with neuromuscular disorders such as cerebral palsy. Dr. Coker-Bolt completed grant funded projects to train therapists in Ethiopia and Vietnam. She received a US Fulbright Specialist in 2016 in Haiti and received a second US Fulbright Specialist award in 2019 to work with faculty in Kazan, Russia. She is completing a U.S. Fulbright Scholar Award at the University of the Southern Caribbean starting in May of 2022.

Poster Description: In recognition of the evidence and educational benefits involving interprofessional (IP) experiences and Integrated Clinical Educational Experiences (ICEE), the purpose of our clinic is to intertwine these two themes. We have created an IP ICEE entitled MUSC Pediatric Sunshine Therapy Service (PSTS) – where MUSC stands for the Medical University of South Carolina. This service provided complementary physical and occupational therapy services for children on the waitlist of the MUSC Pediatric Out-patient Clinic, which often documents a waiting time of two to three months.…
