Nethra S. Ankam, MD is an Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She has been co-faculty lead of the Jefferson Center for Interprofessional Practice & Education's Jefferson Health Mentors Program since 2015. Interprofessional education (IPE) purports to level hierarchy and create a collaboration between IPE program stakeholders, patients, and communities. Design sprints do level the hierarchy and should be used to design IPE.
