Dr. Natalie Neubauer is Director of Clinical Education/Assistant Professor in Speech Language Pathology at Seton Hall University. She teaches graduate diagnostics and clinical methods courses, and designs the clinical education curriculum, including simulations, experiential skills training and interprofessional modules. Her research interests include pediatric feeding, ASD, IPE, clinical supervision and innovative teaching modalities. She is chair of the New Jersey Speech-Language Hearing Association (NJSHA’s) Public Relations Committee, vice-chair of the Higher Education Committee, and an elected board member of the Higher Education Committee.

Healthcare educators must view themselves as knowledge brokers who create learning opportunities to transmit scientific knowledge, information, and innovations to students to advance person-centered care (Sverrisson, 2001). Knowledge brokers serve as a link between what we know and how we know it, why it is important to know, and ensure that all who need to know have the information.
