Nancy Casdorph MSN, RN, NPD-BC, is currently a Transition Coordinator/Nurse Residency Program Coordinator at WVU Medicine-Ruby Memorial Hospital. She received her BSN and MSN from California University of Pennsylvania. Nancy is certified in Nursing Professional Development and Simulation. She designed and developed Social Media and Professional Boundaries simulation as her practicum for nurser educators and incorporated the simulation into the Transition to Practice Nurse Residency Program curriculum at WVU Medicine.

Background Physical and Occupational Therapy students consistently find it difficult to function in acute care settings due to the critical nature of patients, the need for teamwork and communication, and quick decision making required to treat the patient effectively and safely.
