Dr. Monica Miller is a Clinical Professor and the Associate Head for Engagement for the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Purdue University College of Pharmacy. She is also a Dean's Fellow for Wellness Initiatives for the College of Pharmacy. Dr. Miller earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota in 2006, and went on to complete a Master of Science and Pharmacotherapy Residency at the University of Texas in 2008.

Background: Healthcare professionals interact daily with individuals who are culturally different from themselves and need to have skills for working with these differences to ensure the best care is provided. Incorporating training to enhance health professional learners’ understanding of cultural considerations and their impact on care is an important component of a modern curriculum.
