Melissa Morris, MSN, RN, CPN, CHSE is the Director of Simulation and Interactive Technology for the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences at Nova Southeastern University. She is a current PhD candidate at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professions. Ms. Morris’ work focuses on developing faculty and supporting simulation, interprofessional education and collaboration, and developing faculty in simulation best practices initiatives within the college and university. With over ten years’ experience in simulation, Ms. Morris has been instrumental in aligning simulation to best practices within the college and participating in research on simulation and interprofessional education.

Nova Southeastern University (NSU), like many others, has experienced the need to shift our curricular activities to a virtual format in the wake of a global pandemic. This includes the ability to offer our learners meaningful interprofessional experiences when they are unable to connect in a physical space.
