Mary L. Williams EdD, LAT, ATC is Assistant Professor and Athletic Training Program Director at Sam Houston State University. She practiced athletic training at the collegiate level prior to becoming a full-time educator. She has held leadership positions within accredited athletic training programs for past thirteen years including experience in clinical education. Her areas of research include internprofessional education and pedagogical strategies.

Texas’ and Louisiana’s poverty rate at that time was higher than the national average at 14.9% and 18.6% respectively (U.S. Census Bureau).
