Dr. Mary Larson is an assistant professor at The College of St. Scholastica in the Graduate Nursing Department. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner and as an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. Dr. Larson has over five years of experience as an educator. She teaches both didactic and clinical courses. She is currently collaborating with the school of nursing simulation center to integrate core simulation experiences and evaluation techniques into the graduate curriculum.

Background:Virtual reality (VR) simulation is an educational innovation which has been utilized to increase opportunities for interprofessional education (IPE) experiences by addressing time and location limitations found with face to face IPE activities.
