Lorene P. Cobb PT, DPT, Ed.D, PCS is an Assistant Professor at Seton Hall University in the School of Health and Medical Sciences, Department of Physical Therapy. Dr. Cobb serves as the Interim Assistant Chairperson for the DPT Program at Seton Hall University, steering member for the SHU, SHMS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and Co-Chairperson of the APTA-NJ Pediatric Special Interest Group. Dr. Cobb's teaching includes: Motor Development Across the Lifespan, Congenital and Developmental Disabilities, and Adult Neurological Conditions. Her areas of research include developing student : family centered care, leadership, and use of virtual reality for affective skills.

Healthcare educators must view themselves as knowledge brokers who create learning opportunities to transmit scientific knowledge, information, and innovations to students to advance person-centered care (Sverrisson, 2001). Knowledge brokers serve as a link between what we know and how we know it, why it is important to know, and ensure that all who need to know have the information. Traditionally, knowledge brokers work in the public domain with patients and the private domain in laboratories (Blondel, 2006).
