Dr. Jeffs is the inaugural Research and Innovation Lead and Scholar in Residence at Sinai Health. She has previously held a variety of leadership positions in policy and research that has included the development of evaluation frameworks and performance measures to evaluate impact of new models of care and interventions. Dr. Jeffs research program examines improving care transitions for complex patients; and optimizing the use of performance data to enhance quality care, organizational learning and health system performance.

Integrated health services are proposed as a strategy to manage and deliver care across various sectors throughout an individual’s lifespan (WHO, 2015). New models of care require different models of learning, as there are limitations in current healthcare providers’ abilities to support integrated health service delivery (Chehade et al., 2016). Interprofessional education (IPE) is recommended as a critical strategy in preparing the healthcare workforce for integrated service delivery models (Bookey-Bassett et al., 2022).
