Lawrence Ramiscal, PT, DPT, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Research and Faculty Development at Lincoln Memorial University’s Physical Therapy Program in Knoxville, TN. Lawrence earned his BSPT at University of Santo Tomas, Philippines, in 1997, DPT at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2010, and his Ph.D. in Applied Health Sciences at Augusta University, Augusta, GA, in 2021 with distinction. He has been an OCS since 2007 and an AAOMPT Fellow since 2009. He has twenty-five years of outpatient orthopedic clinical experience with over a decade as a successful private practice owner before moving to academia.

Background: Many healthcare professions, including physical therapy, have focused on interprofessional education (IPE) within the context of academic learning yet struggle to apply it in practice.
