Kelsey Hennig, PharmD, BCPS is a Clinical Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Specialist at Tufts Medical Center. She previously was a member of the Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPE) faculty at Binghamton University. Hennig's professional and research interests include pharmacists’ impact on patient care and population health, transitions of care, opioid stewardship, and improving health outcomes of patients with chronic kidney disease and rheumatic diseases.

Poverty is a social determinant of health (SDOH) that interprofessional health care teams are trained to address; yet, students in these educational programs may have limited experience with poverty and its impact on patient and community engagement, care, and outcomes.
