Dr. Kelly Lackie is the Associate Director Simulation-based Education & Interprofessional Education and Assistant Professor, School of Nursing, Dalhousie University, and an Affiliate Scientist, Nova Scotia Health. Dr. Lackie is also cross-appointed to the Department of Emergency Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University. Dr. Lackie’s program of research is situated in the discipline of interprofessional education for collaborative person-centered practice, examining a number of interrelated areas, including interprofessional education, learning, practice, and care; interprofessional simulation-based education; psychological safety; equity, diversity and inclusion; interprofessional collaboration and productivity; competency assessment; evidence-based decision-making; and health systems planning. Dr. Lackie sits on the Steering Committee of InterprofessionalResearch.Global (IPR.Global), the Global Network for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Research and co-leads the Knowledge Network of IPR.Global.

In this Lightning Talk, preliminary findings will be presented from a narrative research study that used an equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) lens to understand how psychological safety (PS) is created, reinforced, and/or reflected in simulation-enhanced interprofessional education (Sim-IPE).
