Kelly Allison, MSW, RSW, is an Assistant Professor of Teaching at the UBC School of Social Work. Her areas of scholarship are health social work, social work with individuals and families and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She is an active member of UBC health and involved in facilitating the Integrated Curriculum.

In 2021, an accessible approach to enhancing patient/family involvement in interprofessional education was piloted at the University of British Columbia. Using an existing capstone interprofessional activity, patient perspectives were incorporated into a workshop on collaborative decision-making to prepare students to work in our province’s emerging team-based primary care networks.
