Kathryn Hayward is a nurse and Certified Lactation Consultant. She teaches at Dalhousie University in a variety of courses but retains her primary passion for teaching in pediatrics and families-both in the classroom and in the clinical simulation laboratory. Kathryn’s second passion is interprofessional practice. She is the IPE Coordinator for the School of Nursing and was actively involved with the development and the delivery of the IPE program. In this role, she collaborates with other health professional schools and faculties, and the community, to develop, promote and facilitate IPE events and learning opportunities for 400+nursing students.

In this Lightning Talk, preliminary findings will be presented from a narrative research study that used an equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) lens to understand how psychological safety (PS) is created, reinforced, and/or reflected in simulation-enhanced interprofessional education (Sim-IPE).
