Gerri Lamb, PhD, RN, FAAN is Research Professor and Founding Director of the Center for Advancing Interprofessional Practice, Education, and Research at Arizona State University, Phoenix Arizona. Dr. Lamb is a past chair of AIHC and served as co-chair of the 2019 National Center Summit. She has been PI on several interprofessional practice and education grants focused on generating and disseminating new distance learning modalities for IPE and testing new interprofessional models for primary care. She currently is co-PI on a multi-year project, “Transforming the Primary Care Workforce.”

Primary care is an outstanding clinical setting to orient students to interprofessional education and practice; however, it is frequently overlooked in favor of more popular acute care experiences. The purpose of this Lightning Talk is to describe the development of a flexible curriculum to prepare interprofessional teams of students for primary care practice.
