Frank North, Pharm.D., M.P.A., R.Ph. is an Instructional Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy and National President-Elect for the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA). He earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Southern University and is licensed in Texas and the District of Columbia. He also earned a B.S. in Biology and M.P.A., and founded Frank North and Associates, LLC. Dr. North is a life member of NPhA, Phi Delta Chi, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Urban Higher Education at Jackson State University.

Values/Ethics for Interprofessional Practice is addressed less frequently in the published literature than the other IPEC Core Competencies of Roles and Responsibilities, Interprofessional Communication, and Teams and Teamwork. This may reflect a dearth of efforts to fully integrate this competency into interprofessional curricula. Such a deficiency is problematic in that managing complex ethical situations while maintaining mutual respect and common values is a substantial challenge, particularly across professions.
