Fatima Omar is a Pathways Program Manager in the Pre-Health Student Resource Center. Fatima has an M.A. in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University and a B.A. in Sociology, Anthropology, and Multicultural Studies from St. Olaf College. Prior to joining the University of Minnesota's Pre-Health Student Resource Center, Fatima worked with college access and success programs in Minnesota focusing on supporting underrepresented students in achieving academic and career success. Fatima is passionate about creating and delivering programs that support students to develop academic, social, and professional skills that contribute to a holistic educational experience.

In October 2018, the University of Minnesota’s (UMN) Pre-Health Student Resource Center (PHSRC) created an initiative to diversify health professions. As part of the initiative, the Health Profession Pathways program was created to enhance exploration, application, and matriculation to health professions for underrepresented, undergraduate students.
