Erica Chou, MD is a pediatric hospitalist at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children's Wisconsin. She was the previous Director of Medical School Interprofessional Education. She is also a member of AIHC- Program Committee, Student Engagement Workgroup. She is shifting her focus within medical education to clinical skills and interprofessional practice in pediatric hospital medicine.

Introduction: Interprofessional Education (IPE) is a critical component of medical education as it prepares students to collaborate effectively on healthcare teams. Students are introduced to the core IPE competencies during the pre-clinical years, but there are few intentional IPE activities during clinical rotations. In Fall 2020, we developed an IPE session to incorporate IPE into the Pediatrics Clerkship.
