Danielle Bruno is Senior Manager of Educational Programming for the Indiana Area Health Education Centers. She works to develop, manage and evaluate comprehensive community-based education programming designed to improve the skills and competencies of health professions students that are necessary to enhance the quality of health care and provide transformative team-based care delivery within rural and underserved areas and populations. Danielle is currently pursuing her Masters of Public Health degree from the Fairbanks School of Public Health and will graduate in May of 2022. She has a background in marketing, quality improvement, healthcare administration, instructional design, and Graduate Medical Education.

This lightning talk will address the issue of health system transformation from the lens of community engagement through the Indiana Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Scholars program – a community focused interprofessional fellowship.
