Cynthia L. Wall is an Assistant Professor of Nursing and her research program is focused on nursing teaching strategies, professional nurse value development, and interprofessional learning. Dr. Wall brings clinical nursing practice experience, Board Certification in Nursing Education, and Doctoral preparation in nursing education. She has been involved in interprofessional education and practice for many years. She was a pioneer in the development of two hospital-based Interprofessional Pediatric Transport Teams in San Antonio in 1993 and 1996, as well as an interprofessional Inpatient Pediatric Palliative Care Service in Methodist Children’s Hospital in San Antonio in 2003. Dr. Wall serves on the LINC Faculty Didactic IPE Committee.

Background: Members of Linking Interprofessional Networks for Collaboration (LINC), UT Health San Antonio’s institutional initiative to advance interprofessional education (IPE), developed the university-wide LINC Common IPE Experience for all incoming learners. Launched in 2020, this foundational IPE activity involves three case-based online modules focused on teamwork and communication competencies completed synchronously in interprofessional groups of 3-4 students.
