Christina Aplin-Snider, NP

Dr. Christina Aplin-Snider is an Assistant Professor of Nursing on the Flint campus. She is a family nurse practitioner with over 20 years experience as FNP with a focus on internal medicine and pediatrics. She teaches graduate nurse practitioner students and has for the past 15 plus years at UM-F. Her research focus is on academic integrity, pediatric obesity and service-learning. It has been through her service-learning endeavors with students that she has most appreciated the IPE process.

In the summer of 2020, the University of Michigan’s Health Science Council of Deans (HSC) and Center for Interprofessional Education (C-IPE) were united by a desire to collectively address health inequities in society. The HSC charged the C-IPE to bring together dean-appointed diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) leads from 9 of our 10 health science schools, as well as students, patients, and DEI experts to lead the first stage of this effort.
