Caitlin Womack is a fourth year medical student at VCU School of Medicine in Richmond, VA. She plans to pursue residency training in internal medicine and has a particular interest in the impact of health disparities and the socioeconomic determinants of health on patient care. She also maintains an interest in medical education and women's health. She graduated from the College of William & Mary in 2017 Summa Cum Laude with an undergraduate degree in Public Health. She enjoys running, hiking, and baking in her free time.

Background:Diabetes management is particularly challenging in the context of multimorbidity and socioeconomic disadvantage.
