Bonnie K. Burman, Sc.D. is the President of The Ohio Council for Cognitive Health. The Council’s goal is to ensure that those impacted by cognitive impairment continue to live with meaning, purpose and joy. Previously, Dr. Burman served as the Director of the Ohio Department of Aging. Earlier in her career she was the Executive Director of the Pioneer Network, the national leader in culture change and person-centered care in long term care. She received her Sc.D. in Heath Policy and Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Background: By 2050, 13.8 million Americans over 65 will be living with dementia, and most will live in the community.
