Dr. Bing-Bing Qi is an Associate Professor in M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing (FCN), Villanova University. She teaches in multiple courses at the undergraduate and graduate level including Health Assessment, Nursing Essentials, Nursing Care of Adults and Older Adults and Principle of Assessment, Measurement and Evaluation in Nursing. Dr. Qi received her PhD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, her MSN in nursing education was awarded from FCN Villanova University and her BSN was conferred from Peking University School of Nursing. She has been actively participated in the preparation, establishment, and evaluation of the Interprofessional Education (IPE) since 2019.

Over the last three years, a dual university virtual interprofessional education (IPE) experience focused on the topic of improving LGBTQ+ healthcare was successfully implemented for counseling, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, and physician assistant students with a high degree of student satisfaction for this learning experience. The purpose of this Lightning Talk, however, is to discuss an aspect of IPE implementation that is often overlooked - facilitator and standardized actor training.
