Ashok Philip, PhD is the Associate Dean for Student Services and Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy (COP). He received his PhD in medicinal chemistry from the University of Mississippi and continued his postdoctoral research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis and the Center of Drug Design, at the University of Minnesota. At UAMS COP Dr. Philip works to sustain a mentoring environment for student pharmacists and recruit a qualified, diverse student body.

Lifestyle Medicine (LM) infuses interventions within six pillars (whole-food/plant-predominant diet, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances, positive social connection) to prevent, treat and reverse chronic disease.
