Dr Andrew Beckham [BMBS BMedSci DTMH MCEM FHEA] works clinically in the Emergency Department in Nottingham, UK, and as a Teaching Fellow in Emergency Medicine within DREEAM at the Queen's Medical Centre. He is a member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is currently studying for a Masters in Medical Education. His interests lie in interprofessional education and high performing teams.

Background:Throughout the pandemic, medical students have gained less clinical exposure, reporting a lack of confidence in clinical and non-technical skills. The Clinical Skills Assistant (CSA) volunteer project addresses the lack of consistent opportunity for medical students to practise the skills expected of all junior doctors.
