My research & expertise is in post stroke, with a focus on movement control & sensorimotor learning & to utilize technology-assisted rehabilitation. I am part of a pioneering group for interactive, adaptive robotics & VR simulations for hemiplegia. As Professor in the Dept of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences, I have extensive experience as a PT in the rehabilitation of people with neurological disorders. I have numerous publications and grants towards this on–going research. As Department Chair, I have grown our faculty five-fold. As Associate Dean for IPE and IPP I am responsible for facilitating these activities within the School.

lnterprofessional education (lPE) allows future practitioners to effectively collaborate. lPE involves professions learning about, from, & with each other to deliver safe, patient-centered care. The lPEC (lPEC) competencies for healthcare improvement include teamwork/team-based practices, communication, values/ethics, and roles/responsibilities.
