Dr. Abhilasha Borad is a third-year medical student at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2020 from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, both at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She has extensive involvements in fostering interprofessional collaboration in academic settings via serving as a founding member and leader of the student-led Interprofessional Education (IPE) program at Rutgers University and serving on the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences IPE student advisory council.

Interprofessional education (IPE) is an important component of healthcare education preparing students to provide well-rounded patient care as part of a collaborative team.
